(Click on the following to view it in PDF format, or here to view
just the order form in
Spreadsheet format .)
The amount of advanced notice we require will vary by your location, the number and type of plants ordered and the time of year (e.g.,
holiday and spring orders may take longer).
How It Works
- Determine how much money you want to raise and how many people will participate.
- Determine the sale period.
- Set a reasonable goal for each person. (e.g., each person will be able to sell
2-3 dozen hosta plants)
The Kick-off Meeting
- Have a meeting where you announce the fundraiser and encourage participation.
- Set the first "turn-in" for the money three days before the final turn-in.
Selling
- Collect the money from your customers as they order.
- Encourage everyone to reach their goal.
- Provide an incentive for each person that reaches their goal.
Order Day
- Place your hosta order.
- Arrange for delivery.
Delivery Day
- Hostas should be delivered to your customers the same day as you receive them, or within three days.
- Your sale is over, your customers are happy and the hostas are happy!
Terms and Conditions
- Completing a request for a fundraising order does not guarantee that Hostas at Sissinghurst will be able to complete that request on the
given date and time.
- All order requests must be confirmed with the customer by phone or e-mail before an order will be scheduled.
- Payment in full will be required upon order confirmation.
- Delivery/Shipping charges will be discussed upon order confirmation.
- Delivery date must be confirmed.
- All customers requesting fundraising pricing will be asked to provide a tax ID or other proof indicating the organization is a
nonprofit or similar organization and that the money raised will be used to support nonprofit endeavors. Fundraising programs and
pricing structures are designed to assist nonprofit organizations and groups. Nonprofit organizations are defined in one of the
following ways:
- Educational - funds are being used to support a school or school related organization (e.g., band, club, student or parent group
associated with a school or educational institution.)
- Religious - funds are being used to support non-profit church activities or church related organizations such as youth groups
within the church.

recreational purposes and not for individual gain.
- All purchases are final and any unsold hostas may not be returned.
